✎ Designing a Two-Part AM Mold for Resin Casting

Design Request : Design a mold capable of pouring three buttplates in a single mold, with each unit cast separately (no shared runner between cavities). The problem itself is straightforward, but he has been unable to solve it despite weeks of attempted modeling by himself. The mold will be manufactured via AM (350x350x350 print volume). I’ll be using Autodesk Fusion for this work.

The constraints :
➤Single mold body containing three buttplate cavities
➤Each cavity must be cast independently, no shared runner/sprue connecting them
➤Each cavity needs its own separate pour inlet
➤No resin path may cross between cavities (full isolation)
➤Must fit within a 350 × 350 × 350 mm print volume
➤Parting lines positioned away from cosmetic surfaces to preserve finish quality
