I was given a 3D scan model to repair. Like most scan data, it came out of the capture process with a handful of geometry issues, the edges were jagged and inconsistent, and several areas around the rim had sunken inward instead of holding the same even form as the rest of the shell.

To fix this, I worked directly on the mesh, sculpting the sunken sections back out until they matched the surrounding surface in both shape and thickness. From there, I focused on the jagged edges, smoothing and refining them into clean, consistent geometry that flowed naturally with the rest of the model rather than standing out as a rough patch.
